Emily grew up on a poultry and beef cattle operation in Mena, Arkansas. She received a B.S. degree in Agricultural Science from the Southern Arkansas University. While in college Emily worked in a local Farm Bureau office for four years. Once she and her husband, along with their two children, settled in DeKalb, where they also have a cow/calf operation, Emily saw a need for livestock and equine mortality insurance. As that business grew, she discovered a demand for crop insurance which led her to the knowledge and resources available through AgDefense Risk Management.
